Colton AFC Res 0 - 1 Rothwell Juniors

Colton started the game slowly on a very dry and harsh pitch. In truth neither team looked like scoring, that was until the Colton defence fell asleep and let in a soft goal just before the half time break.

The second half Colton now a goal down saw the lads come out with a lot more effort and they started to get on top of the game. Damian heading on to the cross bar and another good effort striking from the edge of the area forcing the keeper to make a good save.

Colton piled on the pressure but it was too little too late and Colton were unable to score. To top off the disappointing day, a nasty clash of head saw Albi needing stitches and a trip to hospital. We wish him a quick recovery.
