Colton AFC Res 1 - 2 Calverley (27.10.2018)

A game which the Colton Manager didnt know how they lost! Again disappointingly Colton went down 0 - 1 in the first 20 mins! But the way they were playing football was brilliant so Colton thought it would only be a matter of time before they equalised. Half time came and still 0 - 1 down. The Manager told the lads to keep playing and be patient and the goals would come, eventually it did - Although it was a scrappy goal which was eventually bundled over by Joel England. After that the opposition rarely entered the Colton half. Colton hit the post twice and had numerous chances. Missed opportunities left Colton weeping when a miss kick in defence lead to Calverley slotting home for a second goal 1 - 2. In the dying minutes Colton were awarded a penalty hoping to equalise. BUT the keeper saved the poorly struck shot. The game ended 1 - 2 , Colton bemused how they didnt score more and take the game.
