Colton AFC Res 3 - 1 Thornesians Res (05.01.19)

The first game into 2019 Colton AFC Res started as they left off in 2018. It was another really positive, good display but failed to convert the chances they had created.

The second half saw Colton go a goal down with a great strike from outside the box.

Colton were 0 - 1 down with only 10 mins to go, something needed to change.

Tactical changes to formation meant the Colton shape now took up a 4 - 3 - 3 approach and with some fight Colton managed to grab an equaliser through Aidy. This goal then spurred everyone on to complete the overall good performance with a win.

A second goal came not long after with a header from Albi taking Colton into the lead 2 - 1.

The game was then finished off with 2 minutes to go when Phil Woofit finished well and Colton claiming all 3 points. The never give in attitude really proved what could be achieved, a great start to 2019.
