Another game edging closer to the end of the season saw Colton play some good football in patches and create some good chances to score throughout. An unfortunate bounce over the Colton defenders head saw Norristhorpes 'winger nip in and score taking it around the goalkeeper, 0-1. Colton came in at half time 0 - 1 down, even though you would probably say it was against the run of play.
The second half saw Colton play even better but chance after chance went begging. A superb freekick from Norristhorpe middle man flew into the top corner taking them 0 -2 up.
Colton needed to take their chances and after the second goal, the game came to life. A decent cross from Aidy saw Sam head on to the cross bar, which was followed up by Connor Brown to pinch back a goal. Within 10 mins of being 2 down, Colton were back on level terms. The equalising goal a header from Albi.
Colton kept pressing and pushing, they were in control of the game as they had been for most of the game. This time they were looking for the winner. A fierce shot from Aidy was saved by the keeper but bounced out to Coltons Cameron Rennison, who was able to put the ball into the net for the winner! His first goal and a very important one, well deserved.
A great come back, well done Colton AFC Res.
