Colton AFC Res 5 - 2 Morley Amateurs (12.01.19)

Due to the windy conditions, you always knew this was going to be a game of 2 halves.

Colton were against the strong winds in the first half and that made it difficult to play. Having said this some chances were being created. Colton went 0-1 down after a needless foul and the resulting set piece causing the goal. Colton however hit straight back, despite the winds and being a goal behind Sam Stephens grabbed an equaliser.

Again another needless free kick was given away and the hosts Colton went down 1 - 2. But Colton got another equaliser just before half time from a well worked goal and good finish by Albi.

Halftime 2 - 2

The second half came, a change of ends and the Morley team hardly entered the Colton half, Morley were up against the wind and the Colton pressure. It was all in all a great second half performance. Cameron Renison worked with Cameron O'Connor well to open O'Connors goal scoring account. 3-2. Finally a flourish from Phil Woofit sealed the win as he scored 2 goals ensuring all the points were Colton's.
