Colton AFC Res 8 - 1 Lepton Highlanders (23.11.19)

At last a game to play, all be it on a slippery pitch. Lepton Highlanders turned up with only 11 men from Division 3. Colton & Lepton started well with some strong challenges from both sides, but Colton deservedly took the lead with a tap in from Aidy at the back post.

Lepton rallied and a lapse of concentration from Colton same them equalise. Colton however came back strong and went back in front with a great shot from outside the box by Dave.

Lepton had a chance to equalise after being awarded a penalty but they put it wide. Poor discipline also saw them lose a man to the sin bin, which Colton capitalized on with a flying header from Calum. Half time 3 - 1.

The second half saw Lepton have 2 players sent off for mouthing at the referee and from there on Colton really dominated. 2 goals came from Joel, 2 from Nyasha and 1 from Tom. Onto the next round of the cup with some ease.
