Gildersome 3 - 1 Colton AFC Res (09.02.2019)

A windy day and a very muddy pitch saw Colton AFC Reserves winning run come to an end.

Colton, at half time went in at 0 - 0 with Colton actually looking like the overall better team, having slightly more of the possession. The second half even saw Colton take the lead after a well hit shot from Trevor was saved by the Gildersome keeper, only to land at the feet of Phil Woofit following in tapping home for a 0 - 1 lead.

However it wasn't to be a lead which was held very long at all, 5 minutes later Gildersome got one back through a somewhat soft goal, a goal which could have been averted. The games was level but Gildersome took the glory as 2 more sloppy goals were conceded!

A great start to 2019, lets hope this is just a small bump in the road and the Reserves get back to winning ways.
