A comprehensive win for Colton who played some excellent football.
Jordan Thackery opened the scoring on 9 minutes as he slotted home from close range, after a super Josh Naylor cross.
Colton created more chances, however with a comnbination of poor finishing and good goal keeping it wasnt until the 36th minute that they extended their lead. The midfield trio Tom Whelan , Chris Hick and Jono Goodwin dominated. It was then a great through ball from Ben Vickers that found Danny Coates who made it 0 - 2.
A very strong first half display from Colton.
Within 45 seconds of the restart , it was 0-3 Some very slick passing from the kick off ended up with a Goodwin goal finding the net after a Thackery low cross. An excellent team goal HSM didnt touch the ball.
Horsforth got more into the game and the Colton defence had to be alert to any danger. Adam Hartley in the net pulled off some good saves as Horsforth tried to get onto the score sheet. The hosts had a few corners but Colton defended well.
Colton scored again on 73 minutes, Coates latching onto a long pass from Naylor 0 - 4.
Eight minutes from the end, Horsforth did get a consolation goal. Final score 1 - 4.
