Morley Amateurs 3 - 2 Colton AFC Res (02.03.19)

It was another very dry and bumpy pitch and another week without a referee! Colton started poorly but grew into the game as it went on. A great headed goal from Aidy saw Colton go 0 -1 up. But it was not a lead that was held for long as Morley equalized shortly after.

Colton responded well and a lovely through ball to the feet of Phil saw him get a goal putting Colton back in front 1-2. Half time.

The second half saw the "stand in" ref make some terrible decisions and Morley got back to 2 - 2. With the referee at one end of the pitch he gave Morley a penalty from almost 60 yards away, after the ball had gone out for a goal kick. The penalty was despatched successfully putting more up 3 -2.

After this incident Colton really stepped it up, they piled on the pressure pushing 3 upfront and really should have got something out of this game but it wasn't to be.
