Noristhorpe Res 4 - 3 Colton AFC Res

Despite the loss overall it was declared a good team performance from the Colton AFC Res Manager. Noristhorpe Res got off to a flying start and scored within 5 minutes of kick off. Colton however didnt let this take control of them and they battled back to make it 1 - 2, both goals from striker Aidy. Unfortunately a deliberate hand ball on the goal line from Kev Gomersall, proved punishing as the red card was shown and Noristhorpe converted the penalty. Again, to the credit of the Colton team they bounced back and took the lead just before half time 2 - 3. Given the fact that Colton were down to 10 men, the second half was always going to be tough and it showed as Noristhorpe took charge and took the game. There were oppurtunities to equalise for Colton but ultimately they were unable to convert. Positives were certainly taken from this game more hard work at training mid week.
