Colton AFC Res started the match looking for their first away win of the season. and playing on the immaculate pitches at Fleet Lane with a full squad and perfect weather contditions, the game was set to be eventful.

A slow 15 mins from both teams kicked the match off, both trying to pass the ball around. The game suddenly exploded into action on the 20th minute when a through ball to Phil Woofit, who was strong in the challenge from 2 defenders, rifled in a shot from 20 yards. However the resulting challenge from the defender, resulted in Phil being carried off. He was replaced by Glen Roberts. Colton on the attack again, 25th minute and another late challenge meant Joel England had to go off injured replaced by Cameron Rennison. It certainly wasnt going Colton's way when on the 28th minute stiker Aidy had to be replaced due to a pulled hamstring, he was replaced by Jake Turpin. So within the first 30 min , 3 injuries 3 subs. Colton had to change their game plan. Half time 0-1.

After an inspiring team talk what was discussed immediately went out of the window. 45 seconds into the second half Rothwell attacked the left hand side their speedy number 11 put in a cross and the striker finished bottom right. Colton kept on plugging away with Conor Brown and Luke Midgley putting in some great runs down the right hand side. Another injury meant that Phil had to hobble back on. Phil did infact hit the bar with a header and Sam Stephens denied by a great save. The scoreline could have been different and Colton were before the game expecting alot more.
