Thornesians Res 1 - 1 Colton AFC Res (10.11.2018)

This week was a bottom of the table clash. Both teams needing a win, with Colton coming off the back of a great performance. The pitch was slippery and muddy making it difficult for both teams to play football. However Colton got the ball out wide and looked the better team. Again chances went begging for Colton and with 5 minutes before half time the ball fell just right for the Thornes midfielder who stroke it perfectly from the edge of the box, Ollie in goal getting a hand to it but the ball getting over the line, 1 - 0 down.

The second half saw Colton camped in Thornes half with chance after chance being missed by everyone and Thornes keeper making some good saves. Eventually Colton got their goal, which they fully deserved. 1 - 1 was the final score but it should have been a win for Colton with so many chances and in most parts dominated. Colton are looking forward to next week, all the players were disappointed but ready to get back out next week full of belief.
