Tyersal 3 - 3 Colton AFC (06.10.18)

A cracking game that went right to the wire.

Colton kept their unbeaten start to the season. Tyersal were the hardest test so far.

It was a fast game, Colton struck early when Jono Goodwin scored from a very tight almost impossible angle around 8 minutes in. Danny Coates doubled the lead from the spot making it 0 - 2. In truth Colton's passing was slow and we needed to get it out of the sky and play to feet. Tyersal were quick to press the ball. Tyersal pulled one back just before half time. 1 - 2.

Hick went close with a low strike, which was saved by the keeper who did very well to get down to it. Not long after that Colton pushed on and Jordan Thackery scored from just out side the box. 1 - 3.

However the second placed team did not relent and were not to be outdone, disappointingly for Colton they scored two in 3 minutes to get the draw. Not many teams will get a positive result agaisnt Tyersal and on the day this result was fair.
